Reading Addict Anonymous

Seriously, I need an intervention. The next 4 books in the JR Ward's brotherhood series came in the mail and I've read three books since this weekend. I finished the 4th book in the series today and have the fifth book. I'm afraid to read even the back cover. I seriously need to get back to reality and do the things around the house that need to be done and stop ignoring my kids. I get vaguely annoyed when she cuts in the middle of a scene to add some info on secondary characters, but I've gotten used to it. I feel like I should go read it right now, but I know I'll get all wrapped up in it and vanish from life for a while. This is what authors hope for. The inability to put a book down. I swear though, it's hazardous to my health. I'm jonesing for the next novel and the problem is there's nothing really to stop me from tackling it except willpower. Argh! I can do this. I can do this. Ah, screw it.

yeah V's book. I'm reading that one right now! For me it was hard to get into. Slow at the beginning but after about 15 chapters I was hooked. YOu know how a lot of her chapters are short. you right her stopping in the middle of a scene to tell about 2nd characters is annoying. I also dislike reading her vilian's POV, but it there for a reason. Anyway it might be a good idea to avoid that book so you can get back to your children and life.

OK girl, you can do it!

But seriously, I'm not one to talk, so while I'd love to support you it would be totally hypocrital of me LOL. I think the last time I did that was with Pamela Clare's books a year ago because they were SO INCREDIBLE.

My house is trashed right now because I've been writing so much. Does that count for anything?

Here's to writing books that are hazardous to our potential readers' health! ;)

LOL Amanda you are such a crack up, it's good to see I'm not the only one not doing what they are suppose to be doing. (???)
Anyway I dropped over to wish you and your family a Very Merry Christmas. Until next year.
Hugs
Sandie

Elle mine is trashed too! Not only writing but edits landed on my door step Christmas Eve! Yikes! And I cleaned the Sunday before Christmas...I'd much rather be reading my Christmas books than writing.
