Word Counts

So according to some publishers my story which just reached 300 pages is 75000 words along, but according to Word it's only 64,296. I'm trying to get a concensus on which is the right word count from one of my groups. So here's where I am:

64,296 / 90,000 (71.4%)

75,000 / 90,000 (83.3%)

I like # 2 better. :)
